Unidade de Inteligência Financeira

A Unidade de Inteligência Financeira dos Estados Unidos é a Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, FINCEN , foi estabelecida em 1990 sob a direção do Secretariado do Tesouro. O principal objetivo da FINCEN é salvaguardar o sistema financeiro de atividades ilícitas, combater a lavagem de dinheiro e o financiamento do terrorismo; com o objetivo de promover a segurança nacional.

Sujeitos obrigatórios

O regime jurídico dos Estados Unidos em matéria de prevenção de lavagem de dinheiro e financiamento do terrorismo estabelece como sujeito obrigado certas pessoas e entidades em função da atividade que desenvolvem.

Entre esses sujeitos destacam-se as entidades financeiras e os bancos, as companhias de seguros, as organizações remetentes de fundos ou os fornecedores de serviços de ativos virtuais.
