Persons with Public Responsibility (PEPs)
Politically exposed persons are individuals who perform or have performed important public functions, such as: Heads of State, Ministers or Ambassadors. In addition, their family members and friends also have the status of PEPs.
International and terrorist sanctions
A subject to whom a financial countermeasure imposed by an official entity must be applied. This countermeasure is normally applied by freezing or blocking of funds, due to a sanction or restrictive measure adopted by a legitimate entity.
Adverse media
Adverse media is composed by all sources which contain negative or perjudicial information about a subject coming from public news media. They are generally linked to a number of crimes, such as: money laundering, drug trafficking, fraud or tax evasion. This information is used as additional data in order to identify the client.
