Financial Intelligence Unit

The Financial Intelligence Unit of the United States is the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, FINCEN , it was established in 1990 under the direction of the Treasury Department. The main objective of FINCEN is to safeguard the financial system from illicit activities, combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism; with the aim of promoting national security.
